jasmine | Is it possible to work for two insurance companies with similar policies? |
I have 2 companies that want me to work for them. They are similar but one has a few more subplamental policies. I would work independently for both companies and only check in for training or meetings. |

It depends on what type of 'work' you are doing. If you are an independent agent, you can. If you are talking about working from your home as a company employee, you will most likely be violating a conflict of interest policy. |

I work for an insurance company and their policies prohibit employees (whether permanent or on contract) from, among other things, working for another insurance company at the same time, so I'd check their policies before accepting both jobs. |

Sounds like a conflict of interest. Best check with HR. |

if either one doesn't prevent you from being a broker for multiple companies, it should be okay |

If you are a "captive agent" with your company you will not be allowed to offer another company's products except through the any brokerage arrangements the has established.
If you are just starting out, you should choose the best company and go with them. Focus on one companies products and methods. Later if you want to branch out, you can become a broker and sell for many companies.
Which companies are you considering? |

I think most people on this forum (not all) have contracts with multiple companies. Frankly, you are a better service to your clients if you have more than one company to offer. |
