It sure is…. If you have a fire you might need to replace absolutely everything, your bed, your chair, your beer fridge, every pair of socks, every glass, plate, everything. Add the cost of replacing that lot up and you’ll see that the home cinema is the least of your worries.
Yes they will pay up if you make a claim…. Tesco’s is really just a marketing brand for ‘UK Insurance Ltd’ which is the insurance arm of RBS…. to all intents and purposes Direct Line, Churchill & Tesco’s are just different marketing brands for the same company. I don’t know for sure, but I wouldn’t mind betting that the claims staff are the same whichever one you use. Someone who works down in Bromley may correct me though…
Whatever company you use, insurance in the UK is extremely well regulated. if you have a valid claim they have to pay up. There are very strict rules to make sure they play with a straight bat… if they don’t the regulator will jump all over them and fine them a fortune, which trust me, they often do.
Honestly mate you’d be daft not to get some contents cover, basic cover (exc. accidental damage) is fairly cheap, just don’t forget to check that the either the ‘any one item’ limit is high enough to cover your AV kit or that you add it as a specified item. |

Definitely worth getting contents insurance.
If someone steals it you call the police, they give you a crime number,the insurance company won't pay your claim without it as its their proof that the crime actually took place.
Dodgy insurance companies who don't pay up are quite rare these days, but you never know, so go with a reputable firm like Direct Line/Norwich Union - costs a bit more but you should be safe as houses with them. |

Yes home contents insurance is a must, what if there was a fire, or you got burgled when you were on holiday, it would cost you a fortune to replace all your stuff, plus you can get breakage cover so if you put your Wii control through the telly you can claim! just don't try to do it too cheap, you get what you pay for!

Yes go for insurance.
Imagine if you will that somebody enters your home and then imagine what they would take to get a quick sale on the black market.
would the loss be of great harm or could you ride that loss, then of cause there is the question of physical damage to you property like fire and flood.
