If your premium rates are competitive you can. It's really the best form of life insurance. Whole life and other types of investment types of life insurance are not a good use of your money. It's much better to get term and invest anything else you might have in something like mutual funds.

I've seen people come by who sell term insurance. They also sell mutual funds with the money they "saved" between the term rates and whole life rates. The ones around here also recruit other people to do the same thing, and make money (like a MLM) off of the people they recruit too.
Also, I've known a few insurance agents who, with respect to life insurance, primarily sold term insurance. They also sold house, car and whole life (to those that asked for it).
Based on that, I'd say it would probably be difficult to make a living on term insurance alone.

Unfortunately, probably not.
I'm a big fan of term insurance. But it's so competitive that I don't see it being a profit maker for the salesman. To hard to compete with internet sales that have no commission.

yes, it depends on how much profit i.e how much number of policies you help to insure for the company.

I don't think you can make a good living selling just ANY kind of life insurance - the continuing commissions are squat. That's why I like P&C better, you get the continuing commissions.
and THAT'S why life guys ALSO want to sell you annuities, and every few years recommend you switch to a different kind of policy.

Term insurance in fact is the only insurance product all other products being sold are just a customisation for India..
It gives you a good revenue as a financial advisor but you need to bear in mind that it is not an product to sell.. it may take time.. you must fully understand the need of the customer.
Term insurance gives a very good death benefit for a much lesser price, so try to sell it max.
