My husband is military so I can only use an outside specialist if it is something that the military hospital cannot do. For many different reasons, I have begun to mistrust the competency of the military hospital and have been scared to death to use them for anything other than minor family practice things. For about a year now, we have been seeing an outside fertility specialist. He needs to do a minor outpatient surgery, which we needed insurance approval for. This is a surgery that if done wrong or if a mistake is made, can adversely affect your fertility instead of help it. My insurance company is telling me now that since the military hospital can do it, I will have to have it done there. My fertility is way too important to me to entrust it to that hospital since I have seen and experienced too many things to cause me to mistrust them. Is there anything I can do to appeal this?
