Yes, go local. Choose a company that will see you face to face. Also, go for a company that has been around for a long time. Depending on the kind of insurance you get...it is not fun when companies keep selling themselfs out. Hint...hint... I work for a company that has been around for over 128 years plus... it's very personal. |

I would always go with a local agent. You can still shop price, but shop it locally. This way you get someone that will actually review your coverages and you can meet with face to face. For a local agent try http://www.findlocalinsurance.com

Your best bet is to contact an Independent Insurance Agent in your area. Independent agents have many insurance companies that they write for and they can shop the rates for you very easily. Places like State Farm, Farmers or Allstate only have their company rates and are limited in the products they sell. Also, it is my opinion that independent agencies have better customer service. LOL |

I know for a fact that some companys like pacific life have special features where if an insurance product has fixes or advances and updates that your insurance (no-mmater when bought) will be changed to what the new insurance buyers will be getting. some companys do not offer this, infact a lot do not. Also some companys have waivers that others do not. Do some research. good luck |
