Look towards insurance if you are a earning member & have dependents on you. Then also look for term insurance that is pure insurance.
If you are thinking about investment then there are lot many options like PPF, NSC, FD, Mutual Funds etc. These also provide you tax saving, if you are so interested. |

What is Insurance?
Insurance is nothing but an agreement between the insurer (The Insurance Company) and the insured (You) to pay an amount as compensation if any unexpected event occurs. This amount may vary from a few hundred to even a few crores. The maximum amount the insured person can claim depends on the amount agreed upon as per the insurance policy.

Since you are unmarried and have not mentioned anything about your family, I think you are having investment options in your mind. If that's the case, it is better to opt for a ULIP which will give better returns on the money invested. I reckon private insurers offer better returns than LIC. Ask a life insurance agent for more details on the same. |

Get a term insurance policy for the maximum term and sum assured that you can afford now. You can add some riders of your choice to it. don't mix up savings with insurance. go for the different savings options like bank deposits, shares, mutual funds , gold bars and also some ulip. so it will be a balanced one |
