Yes you can leave Primerica and take any licenses you have with you as well. The reason why you are told to bring guests down is so that you can build your business and get promotions. Though, bringing guests is not going to make you any money. Even if the guest did join the business, you still won't make money until this person gets license and actually does work. When this person does a sale, the company pay this person full commissions and you get paid bonuses. Of course, you have to personally produce otherwise your team will fall apart because if you don't work, they are more likely going to do the same.
As for your last question, you are asking if you have to pay a course fee, but you have already paid. Is this a contradicting question? If you have not gone to licensing school yet, you may submit a written request for a refund. You should read the fine prints on the business application you signed when you joined the company. If you do not have these disclosures with you, then you should talk to the regional vice president about getting a refund.

If you have your provincial life license, you don't need to re-write the provincial exam. You do need to find a new insurance company to sponsor you for the first two years. After that, you have your full license and you don't need a sponsor. |

One here in the U.S.A are free to choose which company to place Insurance lines. Usually, the educational fee's are paid by the student, some firms will pay for the new agent, and then keep them as a captive agent, or another words as an exclusive agreement to sell their products only. Primerica to my knowledge doesn't have one sign any agreements to keep your business with them. Research all the companies you wish to work for, and you may be surprised what you find about your current company. It is very close to what may be called a pyramid scheme. This is why they wish to build a workforce recruiting people to join, as their products aren't the most competitively priced in the industry.. Term rates can be found cheaper elsewhere, and their Mutual funds are riddled with disturbing fee's and charges. No doubt, money is to be made. This money is usually top heavy. Low commision rates to the agent only solidifies this. Retention rate is low, very low, and with a salesforce over 100k, average production per agent is nill...Sorry to burst your bubble before thanksgiving, but the truth is never easy sometimes. |

You might want to check with your State's Department of Insurance to confirm that your license is in fact valid and not just something that Primerica gives you to sell.
In Texas, they normally start off with a temporary license - sorta like a learner's permit for driving - while you learn the business, sell all of your kinfolk, bring in all your friends, then run you off.
If you are really interested in the insurance business as a career, you ought to look around in your area for some life companies that will hire you on and train you. A friend's son just went to work for Mass Mutual as a career agent. They train him and pay him while he's learning, then, they wean him off of a salary as his commissions start increasing to account for it.
You will find that it is a different world than "Do you like the idea? Do you think you can sell this program to your friends?"
Welcome to the business! It's a great industry and you can make yourself a pretty decent living if you set your mind to it!
