There are a number of companies who insure seniors (in fact, most do). I would recommend different companies depending on their dates of birth, health history, death benefit, and length of coverage (or purpose of insurance).
Some companies do "simplified underwriting" for amounts generally lower than $50000, but the convenience tends to have a slightly higher cost. Other companies do "full underwriting" for amounts generally higher than $50000. We need more information or you should talk with a few different brokers to get different opinions. |

Here are the names of a few companies which I would recommend: (Not in any particular order)
Nationwide, State Farm, Monumental Life, New York Life. Met Life, American general (AIG), American National, United American, American Fraternal.
My recommendation is that you purchase from a local agent, not off the internet, or TV.
Go see a local professional, brand, agent in your area, with one of the companies above, or see an independent agent. I'm sure you can get some help. You might even want to start with your auto insurance agent. |

There are literally dozens of good, solid companies out there to choose from. Look for the highest rated company at the best price. Look for Standard and Poor's AAA ratings to be most secure.
There are also a myriad of life insurance options including whole life, universal, second to die,etc.
There is even the idea of premium financing, whereby an Institutional Funder will pay premiums for a senior, sometimes for life. If you are looking to finance life insurance for seniors, this is one area you need to explore. |

If they are retired and just looking for something to cover final expenses like a funeral, then I would recommend that they either just pay for it out of their savings, save up for it, or purchase a small whole life insurance policy.
If they are still in their 60's or 70's and are still working and saving and don't want to mess with their retirement savings if something should happen before they retire then there are companies that will sell them a short 10 or 15 year term policy.
If they are healthy then you should be able to search around the internet and find them something. If they have any health issues then you'll probably want to talk to a really sharp independent agent that knows the underwriting guidelines of the different companies |
