Its a blunder to pay such a huge amount by cash. You should opt for making such payments by account payee crossed cheque only. Even if you had paid to the agent and it has not reached LIC, you must pay the premium to avoid lapse of the policy.
Give a police complaint to locate that agent and try to recover from him.

if you know the name and adress of the agent please complain to the polic immediately. if u donot have the infromation about the person to whom u gave the money, you can forget about this amount

Why have u paid to 'one of the agent' instead of a known agent. Whether LIC or other, person taking away 30000 is a cheat by his individual nature and deserves pollice treatment. Try to locate the 'agent' and the money or go to the police. As far as the policy is concerned, pay the premium in time.
Didn't u use a cheque for paying? Why?
