Your homeowners or renters insurance would cover your personal property stolen from your car - subject to your deductible. |

Not unless you have home owners/renters insurance. Anything that isnt bolted into the car, is not covered usually under car insurance. So you leaving a computer in your car and it getting stolen, isnt going to be covered under your car insurance. |

your insurance will cover your car, not your computer |

The car insurance will not cover your personal property in the car.
However, if you have a homeowners or renters policy - that may provide coverage. It depends on the language in the policy. |

Something like that happened to me. IT was covered under my renters insurance. Because it was personal property that was stolen. |

Possibly your homeowners policy covers this, the car policy limits the payment usually to $200-250 |

if you can get them to believe a computer was in the car, most likely they will say hahaha good one didn't you also have a big screen tv in your car as well |

Your home owners insurance should cover that. Additionally check to see if you bought comprehensive auto insurance. One of them should do it. Of course each agent will tell you it is covered by the other one but eventually you will make it if you have both, someone should cover that. Probably home owners. |

If you have comprehensive along with your liability insurance you car/auto insurance should cover the cost of the computer, your best to call your agent and ask him. Take care when posing the question, Insurance companies tend to record all incidents even if a claim was NOT paid. I you're not sure weather or not your company will pay, perhaps the first course of action would be to review your policy. |

some insurance companys pay for what was stolen from the car and some say o well not our problem so you would really have to call your insurance company to make sure |

Your auto insurance should pick up the cost of the computer minus the deductible you have on your policy.. Someone stole cd's, christmas presents out of my car and the insurance covered it.. Good Luck!! |
