Not unless there's a name change, she moves out, or gives birth.

However, if they DO find out, the policyholder (you? Your husband?) is on the hook for all the money the health insurance paid out, fraudulently, to your daughter.

It's not so much "if" they will find out, but what they will do to you if you defraud them. Have you checked to see if she can stay on your policy? If no, then her husband will have to take over providing for her insurance needs, or she will have to get a job that gives her benefits. why do you want to risk losing your benefits?

hopefully cause its fraud if you dont take her off your policy..if they have enough money to get married they should be able to pay their own medical insurance

withholding info such as this is insurance fraud. it could result in arrest, fine, imprisonment, and loss of coverage.
Any more questions?

You have to report the marriage event to the insurance company right away. You should call the insurance company and ask them if they can give you a grace period or ask when will they drop her from your insurance after she get married. By reporting this event to the insurance company - you are helping the insurance industry from sky high premiums due to fraud.

It is possible for them to find out. You'd be surprised at the ways in which people get caught for lying to their insurance company. (I'd detail some of them here, but I don't want anyone to think I'm giving them suggestions on how to avoid getting caught committing fraud.)

Whether or not the risk is worth it is up to you. Keep in mind that you can be held liable for any of the charges paid by the insurance company as a result of the fraud. The insurance company won't bill you directly for the money - they'll take back all the claims payments they have made to doctors, hospitals, and other providers on your daughter's behalf. Then every single doctor, hospital, lab, pharmacy, and other provider will come after your daughter and/or you for the money that was taken back from them by the insurance company.

Do the right thing and contact your insurance company once your daughter is married. Her coverage, legally, will terminate on the day of her wedding. Keeping her on the coverage beyond that date is considered insurance fraud. Should your insurance company ever find out, you'll be required to pay back anything the insurance has paid and they can bring legal charges against you.

I don't know how old your daughter is, but typically insurance companies investigate every year or so to make sure that older dependents are still eligible for coverage. For instance, once a child turns 19 they assume the child has graduated from high school and would require proof of full-time college status in order to continue coverage. It's just a matter of time until your insurance company starts asking questions, and if you answer them honestly, your daughter's coverage will terminate.

Your daughter will be eligible to purchase COBRA coverage once she is no longer eligible for coverage.

Not if you don't tell untill they do an audit. Then they may make you pay for all the medical costs they have paid. They may make you pay the insurance premiums and they will be a lot more than what your employer is paying. Your best bet is for you tell them then get caught later on.

It's possible that they could find out. The risk outweights the benefit here because if they find out, they will retroactively disenroll her from the policy back to when she got married. Then they will take back all the payments they made for her and she will be financially responsible for all the medical expenses she incurred after her termination date. Not to mention, its insurance fraud.
