I'm guessing you have individual insurance. With group insurance you should be able to change.
For individual insurance the Hemophilia is a decline with all the companies that I carry in my state, however, your state may have different laws. You'll want to contact a local independent agent who can search the plans available there.
The cancer may or may not be a decline, depending upon how long she's had a clean bill of health and where the cancer was. The agent can help you with that as well.
Be very wary of medical discount cards. They are not regulated by the Department of Insurance nor do the people that sell them need to be licensed. This means you have little recourse when you have problems with the plan. If you are tempted by the low price and claims of “save up to 80%” be aware that very few doctors actually take these cards. It does you little good if you have to drive 4 hours to find a doctor that will accept the card. One state couldn’t find any doctors in that state that took the card and only one dentist who was on probation for unlawful activities so they banned the sale of the card. Before signing up with any discount plan get a list of doctors. If they won’t give you a list consider it to be a scam. Call the doctors on the list to make sure they’re still taking the card (many don’t even know that they’re listed as a provider) and that they’re accepting new patients. |

Absolutely - and you probably will be. I'd be darned sure any new coverage is in place - to the point of double paying the first month - before cancelling any old coverage. |

Hello, I work for Health Net in Connecticut! You can call our customer service line at 800-438-7886 you may have to listen to the prompts....I am not sure if there is one for prospective members as I haven't been through the prompts. We are open 8am till 6pm monday through Friday.
Talk to the rep and ask them about your sons conditions. The rep will be able to help you with this, if not they will be able to direct you to someone who can.
If you have a group #er from your employer group, that would be helpful...
I wish I was able to give you a call directly regarding a possible policy, however I am not trianed in prospective members yet. I handle members who already have a policy with us!

Alot of insurance policies deny those with pre-existing conditions. You did not state if you already have another company that you are going to switch to, if you do then the best thing to do would be to ask them. If you do not have one chosen or if they deny you here is a 15 year old company that offers plans that are very affordable and all ongoing medical and dental problems are accepted.
