Search through all the papers and documents in his house if he had a policy you should come across it.
You may have to go through all the old checkbooks to find when the premium was last paid. This might mean looking back as far as one year.
Check old credit card statements.He may have paid premiums by credit card.
Ask his lawyer, banker, or accountant. and his auto or home insurance agent.
If he was employed he may have some coverage with his employer.
You can also have the Medical Information Bureau conduct a policy search for $75.

How do you know he left you as the beneficiary of his life insurance? Did anyone tell you? If they did, then they should be able to tell you what the company's name is. If no one can tell you, then you will have to look at his check book and see who he had been paying the insurance money to. Hopes this helps. |
