Once you're married, neither of you will qualify as dependents for his plan.
You'll have to look to your employers. You're going to need jobs, if you're going to get married. Health insurance, except for welfare health insurance, is NOT based on your income, and private maternity benefits are EXPENSIVE, and have waiting periods before you can get pregnant - like 9 - 12 months.
I'd strongly suggest, if between the two of you you only make $11,000 a year, you should both still be living with your parents until you can support yourselves, and NOT getting married. |

Of course you can't be added to the insurance policy. And once you get married, your fiance will lose the insurance also.
Neither of you would qualify to be a dependent for health insurance purposes. When a couple gets married, they are on their own.
Either you or your fiance will need to get a job that comes with health insurance benefits. Ideally, you should have health insurance in place before you get pregnant. Otherwise you are seriously limiting your options.
If you're already pregnant, you have 3 options:
1) You (or your husband, once you get married) will need to have a job that comes with health insurance benefits.
2) Apply for Medicaid.
3) Save up and pay for prenatal care/delivery yourself.
By the way, if you're making $11K per year combined, one or both of you will need to get a different job anyhow. It would be darn near impossible to raise a child on that. Hell, it would be darn near impossible for 2 adults to live on that even without children.
So basically...if you're not pregnant, there are a few things you need to take care of before getting pregnant. And if you are pregnant already...yikes, you have a hell of a tough road ahead of you. |

No, you can't be added to your fiance's father's plan, and your fiance will most likely not be eligible for it either any more after you are married.
Unless one of your employers offers health insurance, there aren't likely any low price plans around. Check with your local Blue Cross Blue Shield to see what they have.
Good luck |

If either of you are in college, you may want to check out health insurance programs that are written through your school. United Healthcare has a plan available at many US schools. These student injury and illness plans provide wide ranging coverage and are designed to be affordable for college students. To check if your school is participating, go to www.UHCSR.com and enter your school name in the search box. You might also be interested in joining the American College Student Association (ACSA), a national organization for college students. They have lots of member benefits, including student health insurance. Their membership fee is affordable. |

So it has been established through some of the other answers that you probably cannot be added to the father-in-laws health insurance.
If your pregnant you will probably qualify for medical assistance through the county or state. The baby once born would probably also be eligible if you are. |
