Unless you're planning to enroll in COBRA (which is expensive), you should have already been applying for policies and had a new policy lined up to ensure that you don't have a significant break in coverage.
I guess its a little late for that now, but you should have started asking this question 6 weeks or more ago.
Start getting quotes from brokers, try ehealthinsurance.com, consider the COBRA option (if its available to you), look into finding a job with insurance benefits, etc. |

Many insurances will keep you insured till you are 21 if you are in college full time. Any way you put it 2 hours isn't enough time to do anything about this problem. I would suggest to get in touch with your local Department of Human services and see what options are available through publicly funded sources. You could also try to find a job that would give you a health benefit. The other option would to be not having health insurance . This works if you are usually a healthy individual and you don't take any maintenance drugs for on going conditions. Most likely insurance will cost you between 2000 - 6000 dollars a year and if your health costs are totaled less than that a year then just pay out of pocket and maybe get what is called a major medical policy that covers you for a catastrophic illness that lands you in the hospital. These plans are usually less expensive since most people never use them.
Good luck I know what you are going through I have recently lost my job that provided me and my family of 4 with health insurance and my entire family goes to the doctor many times a year. It is rough. The health care system in america needs an over haul! |

Well, GOOD health insurance is expensive - like $200 a month, at your age. If you're relatively healthy, you MIGHT try a major medical policy with a huge deductible.
You could also get a job, that has health insurance. |
