The cheapest way to get decent family health insurance is through his employer.
Otherwise, it's GOING to cost $1500 a month or more.
There's no shortcut - with health insurance, you get what you pay for. The cheaper the premium, the less you get covered - period. There's no "secret" great deal out there - only people trying to sell you fake, forged policies, and discount plans that don't pay ANYTHING.
He needs to talk to a local - to him - broker, with a real office, who can help him balance coverage and cost. |

"Cheap" is a matter of opinion. He should see an insurance broker that handles individual health plans to find out coverage alternatives and pricing. It doesn't cost anything to ask. |

My first thought was to suggest what I have, which is Anthem PPO 3500 HSA-Compatible Plan and costs me less than $100 per month. I think it is cheap and decent, but I am not sure if you would.
My second thought was to suggest moving to another country. The U.S. is unique is the amount that its citizens must pay for health care or health insurance. |

The higher the deductible you choose the lower the premium, and all doctors and hospitals contract with Blue Shield.~~ |
