Fresh Insurance is a broker and was a very good insurance company for me. They have recently brought out an insurance cover for lads that will offer the same lower rates for young males as Ladybird do for young females. (Ladybird is a company of theirs).

Call this number: 0800 9775013.

Hope this helps xx

Have a look on moneysavingexpert.com. Maybe there you'll find out?

Dont use price comparison websites.

The cheapest are Tesco and Direct Line. Budget and Kwik Fit are also not bad.

I am 18 and am insured on a Jag with Tesco for £2000. A Fiesta cost me about £900.

try the AA or RAC or any of the companies you have seen advertised

IF you go to autotrader, and put in the car details/your details, then you will get some great quotes, I just passed my test first time in november, got a 1.2 Corsa, new model, and got fully comp for £500.00 with £200 excess, oretty good ;)

I am an agent and Mercury insurance is very competitive with youthful drivers.

Go to www.mercuryinsurance.com

depending on how much you drive, if its not alot, try pay as you drive insurance from norwich union, they are pretty good.

You could try www.moneysupermarket.com (be sure you have your pop-up stopper activated as this site is terrible for pop up ads!) or the Post Office are quite competitive - I think they use a panel of insurers to get cheaper prices.

Other things you can do to reduce price are for example increase the excess, depending on value of car go for 3rd party fire & theft rather than fully comprehensive and sometimes, oddly enough, if there is another named driver on policy it can bring price down (or if you become named driver on someone else's policy, eg a parent, this can help you build up a no claims history)

Depending on your driving record and what type of car, primarily, you could find cheap car insurance.

Check out this site for some tips on how to find cheap car insurance, and learn some more about different options:

Honestly, your insurance is going to be costly until you turn 30. Best bet is to see if you can be included in your parent's policy.

You will not find "cheap" car insurance at the age of 20 and quite rightly so.
Ignore the advice from the person above me who has recommened that you go on your parents' insurance. This is dishonest if the car is being used mainly by you and if your insurer finds out your cover may be invalidated. You will also not have the chance to build up you own No Claims Discount either. Don't fall for these named driver No Claims Discount policies either, they are a farce as you can only use the discount with that company. Nobody else will acknowledge it.
