Bullwinkle J. Moose, esquire | Poll: Is it fair that those with insurance get to die only once? |
"A recent news story stated that 'victims who lacked insurance died much more often that those who were insured.' Is it fair that those with insurance get to die only once?"
Unless you belong to an HMO, of course.

I would not doubt that a bit..When you die wheter insured or not you're still dead. Those perhaps uninsured dont get the proper care so let em die... those with a dab of insurance they will take drastic steps to save them.. let em hang on as long as possible. That way the hospital can take advantage of the insurance.. Good question Moose..... you are right on.. |

Ya know, a couple of bosses ago, I worked for a guy who really, really used to tell clients, "If you hit someone, back up and go at it again to make sure they're really dead. Insurance policies pay out less for a fatality, than for a permanent disability."
Absolutely true, too.
I'm guessing people are taking his advice - and that's why people dying insured, are REALLY dead. And maybe the uninsured, well, the job is getting botched. |

Unlike cats who have nine lives, one only gets to live once, except after nearly dieing from pneumonia and I was granted a second chance.
If you are James Bond, you definitely get to live twice.

Maybe the insurance companies are trying to stiff the policy holders. |
