It's not against the law, but depending on what country you are from and your current residence status in the USA, it can be done.
You would have to discuss payment to a non usa person with your agent. |

This is all possible, but you need some legitimate connection to the US, like a large investment account or a business you own. It may also depend on your residency and citizenship (ex. not Nigeria or Philippines).
The US government has nothing to do with the disbursement of the funds, but there is heightened scrutiny during your application process due to anti-money laundering regulations.
If everything's on the up and up, this is totally legit. Since you would be insured under a US contract, all premiums payments and contract values would be in USD. |

this will come under the states that the agent can sell the policy. He must be licensed in the state in which the insured resides. If the insured does not hold a residency in the United States then it would be impossible for that individual to get life insurance. Now if the insured was here in the states a third person purchased a policy and the owner was here in the states and the insured was here as well. (medical evaluation is usually required for larger policies) It would not matter who the beneficiary would be and where this individual was located in the world. Most insurance is now dumped into a money market mutual fund in which the beneficiary would get a check book linked to and can write checks to pay what ever is needed. |

yes- you can get a policy on a non-us person. The application must be taken in the us, and it depend son the country- it is up to the ins company to pay proper beneficiaries no matter where they are. However it is the responsibility of the beneficiary to declare the income but if outside us will mostly likely not. |
