Read the contract.
Was it damaged when you received it? Then you should have pointed it out to the company and made sure they made a note of it on the contract or yes, the renter would be liable for any damage after delivery.

I would suggest you re-post the question, with more information. Do you own the TV? Was it delivered damaged? Is it a TV you have hired and then accidentally damaged?

Well, likely not. But even if they are, lots of luck collecting from them. They usually pay damages on a "weight" basis, $.50 a pound. So if the TV weighs 100 lbs, even if you collect, $50 won't go a long way towards fixing it.
