The Health Care system in the United States is a huge issue that is being ignored every day. Every year the cost of health care goes up and up and because of that the the middle and lower classes are not able to afford medical attention. Every year more and more reports are made about people dieing because they can't afford to receive medical attention yet nobody seems to try and change the system. The system should be changed because the middle and lower class make up most of the population and if we cant afford it then there is something definitely wrong with the system.
~~Yes I agree with you. After working ins the industry for over ten years I know it is a huge bureaucratic problem. We need a national health care system desperately.
Republicans are always using scare tactics with universal coverage. Ask any Canadian and you will find they are very happy with their care as well as any other country which has it. I think right now, our medical system is the lowest rating among the citizens. Just try and get emergency care, the hospitals are loaded and it's normally an 8 hour wait to be seen.
Our system is very broken, along with people not being able to afford insurance as well as the red tape nightmare of the insurance industry, it is truly getting scary for fear of getting really sick. Something needs to happen-like tomorrow!~~

There is a case to be made for health care reform and access to it at a "reasonable cost" (that's a whole debate in itself). But those who cry for "free health care" are totally out of touch with reality. There is no "free."

Health Care should be a right EVERYWHERE, in every state, in every country.

Those can afford it should buy it....those that can't should go on Medicaid.
