Ironically, you will just pay out and you will not receive anything. So unless you are planning on leaving gifts, spend it on a nice sports car. |

Pay close attention:
1. Buy it when the loss of your life will make life very difficult FINANCIALLY for those you leave behind. If you die and your spouse doesn't earn a ton of money, she may have a hard time raising your kids in the lifestyle that you would like them to have. The kids also won't have you to help them a little bit with college bills.
2. Shop around. You should get a really low price unless you use a big company that sends an agent to your house. Those agents cost YOU a lot of money. So, look online for a decent company with very good prices.
So, the bottom line is that if others will suffer a lot by the loss of your income, definitely get insurance. |

This is really something you should really think about. Especially with the cat's recent activity, this will only give it more of a motive. Goodluck |

Depends on if you have loved ones you want to help if something takes you away suddently. It's all about planning. If you have no debt, maybe insurance isn't needed. But if you have a fat mortgage or car loans or whatever, do you want to leave your spouse a way out of all that debt?
Term life is very cheap right now - you can get a $250K policy for less than $300 a year (assuming a 40 year old non-smoker).
Think about it. |

the purpose of life insurance is to create or protect an estate. |

Life insurance has nothing to do with you. Life insurance is for who ever survives after you for example young children and a wife - possibly elderly parents. If your single and dont have any responsibilities to anyone, you dont need life insurance.

There is a difference between betting and insurance. When you gamble you create a risk that was not present before. Insurance lets you smooth out the cost of a risk that already exists.
For example, I would not recommend playing Russian roulette and betting on yourself to die, because then you create an extra risk of dying.
Buying insurance, however, does not create any NEW risks. So it is not like "betting on yourself to die"
P.S. I would not buy life insurance anyway because I PERSONALLY will not benefit from it. Screw my family and love ones. Oh, and if I see another commercial about "burial expenses" i am gonna break the screen. I mean really, society HATES rotting corpses, if I die, they will find SOME way to bury me. |
