No, insurance shouldn't pay for cosmetic surgeries. Our rates are already high enough and if that was covered, our premiums would be $5000/month! And I can only imagine what that would do to our work force. We'd have people in professional jobs such as doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc, that are solely based on a woman's cup size. Forget about getting the job because you are the smartest,most qualified person, but now you get it because you've got the nicest rack. No thanks, you want bigger boobs, pay for 'em yourself! |

If cosmetic surgery would pay off in the form of higher earnings for an individual, then that individual should view the surgery as an "investment" and find a way to finance it him/herself. (Whether paying for it, taking out a loan, or finding a financial backer.)
Increasing another person's earnings is not the responsibility of the insurance company (or the people who pay premiums). |

What, you want everyone's insurance premiums to triple?? I don't know about you, but *I* can't afford $3600 a month for a family plan.
Cosmetic surgery is NOT medically necessary. If YOU want to start an insurance company that writes a policy that covers cosmetic surgery, GO FOR IT. You'll go broke, of course, because the only people that would buy it, would want to use it, so there won't be any spreading out of the cost. |
