Simple insurance question??
is a 'monthly preminum' the amount taken out of your check for insurance?
almost . . . monthly premium less the amount your employer is contributing, is how much taken from your check.
Bex9mm
your total insurance premium is based on the rate you are given for either a 6 or 12 month policy. your monthly premium is that total amount broken into monthly payments instead of paying the whole term amount at once. and you usually have the option as to whether the money comes out of your account automatically or you send the money in yourself.
stephenweinstein
It is the amount that you pay per month for insurance.
If the insurance is through your employer, it is usually taken out of your paycheck. This is especially common for health insurance.
For insurance that is not through your employer, such as car insurance, you usually must write a check yourself to the insurance company; it is usually not taken directly from your paycheck.

In a nutshell, yes, but it depends on if you are talking Auto, House, Life or Medical/Dental
the premium could be your part of the total or your part and your companies part (if you are talking employer subsidized Medical / Dental)
