If Obama and Congress pass some sort of health care reform, it will likely RAISE the cost of health care since more people will then seek the services of doctors and hospitals & other health care providers.
What happens to the cost of insurance is anyone's guess ... I bet the cost of insurance goes up.
If there is some Federal health coverage, then some people will receive some care for free or low cost but taxes will go up. |

No way to know when it will happen...at least a few years from now.
There hasn't even been a proposal put before Congress yet. (Which is normal, considering that he just took office.) It will probably be at least a year before that even happens, and then there will have to be voting, revisions, debate, and then implementation.
And, of course, that's IF it happens at all.
I wouldn't hold your breath about any major changes happening soon. The system moves slowly. |

It won't happen. The change and hope dude will never get health care reform passed. He has much bigger things on his plate. Big money is involved.
I do think there should be some sort of National Health Care. A nation like the US should provide the basics. I have family in the UK. Sometimes they they give cutting edge surgery for free. But the deal is you pay out the butt tax wise for everything to get it.
By the time the US figures out anything Opie will have been long out of office. |
