Cam | Small Claims Court - Chance of Sucess? |
Okay so over a month ago I was escorted by police from my dads residence, I have consulted police, citizens advice and a solicitor. My solicitor told me there's nothing at all I can do, except small claims court, but its unlikely I will get any of my stuff back?
My property is 2-3 years worth of hard work, £9000 worth, however I have no bank account and when I worked it was for friends and family so Im have no proof of it. All reciepts and proof of purchase are of course still at my dads house as I was removed with only my mobile and charger. I gave him money and paid using his bank card... As I had no bank account of my own, I still dont. A lot of my property is irreplaceable, photographs, gifts, limited special editions of games.
My dad claims ownership of everything and disputes it all.
I owned a laptop that was given to me as a gift, however my dad and i had an agreement it was his and that i could only use it for 3 hours a week. It was then given to me as a gift because my father broke and claimed he could not fix, my laptop he had given me a year ago, however I have no proof... On the laptop are thousands of pictures (irreplaceable) both family and proffesional (I did photography), my whole 1st year of college coursework, 700 songs, private chat logs, passwords, etc. I have it passworded and he is demanding the password
Sorry this is so long but really need some good advice, im in Northern Ireland.
Many thanks in advance, just want to get my stuff back and get on with my life.
Thanks, Cam

The reason I was escorted out was because I was spending more time with my mum and sister (my parents are divorced) and I was packing to leave. |
