Have your school's registrar or attendance office or administrator write a letter to the insurance company stating that you are a student. The letter should be formal and have the school's identifying logo or seal and a school official's signature and title. |

Things may have changed in the last few years, but when my kids were going to school, correspondence school was not acceptable. It had to be an accredited college or university that they actually attended-and they had to be taking at least 12 credits to be considered full-time. You will have to check with your insurance carrier. |

Correspondence school may not qualify.
Generally to be an eligible institution, it must have a physical location, teachers, classes and students who attend in person. From what I can tell, Penn Foster is legit, but 100% online. |

Hmm... I know when I went to college, they needed proof I was actually enrolled, and the college had something they sent to insurance companies showing them I was enrolled. Could you ask the school if they had something like that? |

You have to contact the Benefit Administrator of the plan to make sure that all proper ducumentations is filled in to grant you the student status. |
