I had similar from an 0161 number, don't know if it's the same.
I put it down to a cold caller who is trying to up their call stats.
They get checked how many calls they make in an hour. If they find one that goes through to voicemail, they will use it a few times to save them having to talk to anyone.

I had a similar one once and BT said it might be a scam.
When you ring, they tap into your line and ring their own premium rate numbers withit. It could cost you a fortune! |

It could be one of two things. It could be that a fax machine is trying to call you, someone put in your number by mistake. Or it could be one of those automated switchboards on auto dial. Contact your operator who should sort it out. |

Not sure, but it's a manchester Code if that helps. It's probably tele sales, your number is put on the computer with many others and the first to answer gets the usual garbage talk. |
