As with everything else you need to buy, shopping around is the best bet, this is quite a good link: http://www.mapsofworld.com/spain/spain-tourism/spain-travel-insurance.html but there are plenty of others on the web.

Tesco insurance is good and easy to obtain.

I've just come back from honeymoon in Spain (Mallorca), it cost us about £80 on line for both of us.

It's just not worth skimping on insurance, make sure that it covers you for all the things you need, and WHATEVER YOU DO, be scrupulously honest, especially about pre-existing illnesses, as a travel/insurance rep for many years, I could write a book on the horror stories I've encountered by people who have not done this, your policy would be worthless.

Of course, it is also wise to closely investigate your preexisting insurance policies; some things that a trip travel insurance policy covers may already be covered by your own insurance. And of course, no one needs to buy overlapping coverage. If your own insurance already covers say, medical evacuations, you can safely shop for an annual or single trip travel insurance policy that does not include it.

Well.

Are you going for a relax holidays or:

Are you going to drive ?
Are you going to sky dive ?
Are you going to scuba dive ?
How old are you ?

All this will influence on your final quote, however, you should not pay more than £30

Travel insurance is always a good idea, but think through what cover you need. Spain has much the same facilities as the UK - so do you really need any?

If you have household contents insurance, you'll probably find that your valuables and personal possessions are covered anywhere in the world. So most of what you can lose is covered already. It might also cover loss of cash - if not ask yourself would it be more of a problem if you lost your wallet in Spain than in Britain.

Make sure you've got a European Health Insurance Card http://www.ehic.org
That gives you access to the Spanish Health service. You might have misgivings about foreign hospitals - but there's no MRSA and the food's better than at home.
EHIC doesn't give you repatriation or cover the expenses of a relative having to stay on when you're ill abroad. Is that a problem?

The main benefit you get from travel insurance is cancellation cover (say you get called up for Jury service) or for missed connections. Once again, this is life. You can insure against all the crap life throws at you - but how much do you need?

I have links to multiple companies on my site. They're cheap, but more importantly they are reliable.

You also need to decide whether you want travel insurance or just travel medical insurance. The difference being that travel insurance covers the cost of the trip.
