Husband was fired 6/6. Filed for unemployment online same day. His company states that he was stealing from them... He had a piece of wire from a dumpster and truely did not know it was wrong. He worked there 6 yrs and it had never been a issue before..

ANYWAY. He was told that they were putting misconduct on his papers....so when unemployment asked that is what we told them.

Last week they assigned a adjudicator to his claim. Today he talked to her and she asked him 20 questions... he told the 100% truth. She advised him that "the funny thing is, your company filed the papers with us as reduction of force".... More or less meaning he was layed off...

The adjudicator told my husband that she could not confirm or deny over the phone the status of the claim but that he would get a letter within a week... stated that she sees that there are 2 weeks that he has already claimed.... told him that he should watch is bank account (direct deposit) because if hes approved he will see the money before he gets the letter.

Wondering if this means he has a good chance that he is approved.

Yeah.... they called the employer and they told the same story that my husband told but on the paper work to the state (they did respond) all they said was....reduction of force...
