What a choice?
Should I pay for the ticket for speeding, should I pay for insurance or should I save it to go toward my first auto payment?

Pay the ticket, and sell the car back, and cancel the insurance, and get a bus pass.

You clearly can't afford the car.

Next time you buy a car, let it be a $1,000 beater that you paid cash for; the insurance on it will be cheaper, as well.

Of course pay for the ticket first

Lori W
Yea, depending on where you are, if you fail to pay the ticket, you could have your insurance canceled anyway. Pay the ticket. Talk with your insurer about the missing payment to see if there's something that can be floated. Talk also with your loan officer about your first car payment.

Perhaps you should consider selling the car. It sounds like you may not be able to afford it.

Consider paying the speeding ticket, failure to pay the ticket will create major additional problems--you may be able to pay the ticket out in a few payments or get an extension of time to pay the ticket. If you fail to pay the ticket a warrant will be issued for your arrest, if you are stopped by the police, they will impound your car, and take you to jail. You will have to pay for the towing, the impound fee, and the ticket, and additional fines for failure to pay.
Sounds like you have a budget problem because the insurance and the car payment funds should have been available. If you purchased your car on one of those weekly pay companies, they will repo the car rather quickly, they will charge you for the tow and repo, they can keep the car, resale it, and keep the down payment.

I wish you the best.

You should pay the ticket for speeding first as not paying may warrant more fine and money. Pay insurance next as without insurance, no claim can be made. Finally pay the auto payment last becuase normally they allow you to drag for 2 months.
