What are some of the cheapest health insurance companies?
Almost every company has comprehensive plans for one premium and basic plans with limited benefits for less premium. Also, each company increases their premium at different times so the company with the lowest premium now may have the highest premium in 6 months.
You can save premium by getting a higher deductible. With most individual plans you get the doctor visits for the co-pay without having to meet the deductible. You can also save money by getting a catastrophic plan that doesn't include doctor visits for a co-pay. These plans are much more cost effective if you seldom visit a doctor.
Visit a local agent that works with all the major companies in your area because the best plan for you in my state may not be the best plan in your state. There is no extra charge using an agent.

Are you looking for "cheap" insurance, or excellent coverage at a low cost?
To lower the premium payment, increase the deductible.
The best policy is the one that pays what it's supposed to, in a timely manner.
Google "Assurant Health" and "Golden Rule Insurance" or "United Healthcare".
If these companies do business in your state, there will be a LOCAL independent agent to help you.
