In a nutshell: bad service. I've changed auto insurance because I had insured belongings, and an agent told me that my things would be safe shipping them. Well stuff was broken and damaged. When I called the insurance company to get it taken care of and replaced, they pointed to a clause which they never mentioned that said, "We won't pay for anything that was damaged." What the heck?! What are they good for? They're history! I'm about to change my medical insurance too. My deductible is so high that I might as well not have any insurance. By the time I pay the deductible, a new year begins and I have to start all over again. The only this medical insurance would be any good is if I had a catastrophic illness. Medical insurance in our country is the pits. |

The insurance industry is probably one of the most corrupt businesses on earth--next to the credit card industry. They take your money promising to protect you or your belongings, but then when you need them the most, they don't want to pony up. If you can find a decent insurance provider (if such a thing still exists) then change every chance you get. |

January 2005, new mortality tables came out, company's are starting to apply lower rates due to us living longer. In many cases, companies are less expensive than others so they move. Or the need changes and another company better fits the need. Some change as they have a better relationship with a company through an agent who is taking care of the client. Hope this helps.
