Its a company that sells lifeinsurance, home insurance, and other type of insurances.

When he meets with the person his going to get interviewed, they will tell him how to recruit people (usually put the phone numbers of people he knows, and other people from primerica will call them), the people that he knows and are recruited under him will also sell insurances, and from the people he recruits he will get a % of profit from there.

He has to go to a training where they he has to pay i think its between $99 - $199 not sure what the rate of the training is but its somewhere in there.

Its not a steady job, unless you have a lot of people under your recruitment, and or if you sell a lot of insurances. They tell you you can work part time or full time its up to you. You have to go to peoples homes and try to sell insurances....

I tried it and didnt like it..., i dont like going to peoples houses and nock and explain it to them, basically you have to convience people to buy the insurance, and most people already have their own insurance from work or other places so its kind of hard to get a good amount every month. Also most of the visits will have to be over the weekend!

Hope i helped!

First thing you should know that Primerica is not a job, but an opportunity to earn extra income. What is it that we exactly do? First, we have a debt elimination program that allows families to free up money to invest in a retirement account. Second, we develop people for leadership positions and eventually enable them to own their own businesses. Which one of these is most interesting to your brother?

As I mention before, Primerica is a business opportunity. Your brother should know up front that he may not make any money in first 6 months because there's training involved, licensing, and experience to gain. Then again, your brother may be talented and gets his licenses quickly and is a fast learner, he could start earning income in 2-3 months.

If your brother is looking for a job and needs income now, he should keep looking for a job and use Primerica as a way to earn part-time income. In a job, you can get fired anytime. There is no security in a job. You get recognized for all the wrong things you do. You are paid by hour and your life is basically being control by the corporation because of your fixed income. But in business, you control your future. No one fire you. You can only fire yourself. Your income potential is unlimited and you have freedom. If you wanted to take off from work for whatever reasons, you can do it without asking anyone for permission. In a job, you have to ask for permission to take off and sometimes, the employer may say no.

Anyway, your brother should talk to a Regional Vice President to get more information before deciding whether to pursue this business opportunity or let it pass.

You tell your brother to run away from this "job offer."

There are many other insurance companies and financial services companies that do a better job for their clients and their agents.

Have your brother shop around for a different company.

1st, it's not a job, its a business. Primerica agents are independent contractors, not employees.

Primerica provides debt management, insurance, investments and opportunities to people to make extra money. The "interview" is a step in the process of recruitment.

Since this is a business and not a job, there is start up costs. $99. That goes towards background checks and the life insurance pre-licensing class costs. Primerica covers the difference.

The cost of the license will be refunded upon passing the test and he can even set himself up to have his securities (6 & 63 if needed) paid for by the company (~$700).

Something to point out is it is pure commission based income. If he does not sell, he wont earn. If he does not get licensed, he can't earn.

If he is currently unemployed, he should not be doing Primerica. He needs steady income while he learns this business. If he has one, he should not quit unless he decides he really wants to do Primerica and is willing to commit to it....and can supplement his income.

He wont fully understand the effect Primerica has on people, until he pays a death claim. That goes the same for any insurance company as well.

When you do research, consider your source. After all, everything on the Internet is true right?

Bottom line, it may be for him, it may not. It is important to ask questions.

You sell insurance, on a straight commission basis, and try to sign up people under you to sell insurance.

Just like Amway, but with insurance.
