A lot of companies run your credit first. Then they consider how long you have been a licensed driver, whether or not you have points against your license, if you have had any accidents, married or single, and of course your age.
If you have attended a driver's training course, and if you have had previous insurance before.
Sometimes your zip code of where you live is even a factor.
Shop around as with anything ask questions and get some rate quotes. They don't cost anything except, remember some of them will do a hard pull on your credit, and some do not. You can ask which one they do before you agree to giving them information for your application. |

YOUR DRIVING RECORD, AGE, CREDIT AND IF YOU HAVE HAD INSURANCE PREVIOUSLY. GOOD LUCK |
|

ANDY

HELLO
YOU
SEX, AGE AND HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN DRIVING
SOME COMPANIES WILL DISCOUNT FOR FEMALE DRIVERS
MOST WILL GIVE YOU A PERCENT DISCOUNT FOR TAKING INSURANCE WITH THEM
WHERE YOU LIVE.
DO YOU LIVE IN A HIGH RISK AREA, WILL THE CAR BE PARKED IN A GARAGE OR AT LEAST OFF STREET
THE CAR
CARS BELONG IN AN INSURANCE GROUP, A FORD KA FOR EXAMPLE IS GROUP 2 WHICH IS LOW THEN WORK UP THE NUMBERS TO ABOUT GROUP 20 THEN EACH CAR IS INSURED INDIVIDUALLY
THEN THE NEWER THE CAR THE MORE IT IS WORTH
TYPE OF INSURANCE
CHEAPEST REQUIRED BY LAW
THIRD PARTY ONLY COVERS YOU SO OTHER PEOPLE CAN CLAIM OFF YOU IF YOU CAUSE THE ACCIDENT.
THIRD PARTY FIRE AND THEFT, YOU ARE NOW COVERED AS BEFORE BUT ALSO IF YOUR CAR IS SET ON FIRE AND OR STOLEN
MAY REQUIRE A FEE FOR LEGAL REPRESENTATION
FULL COMP AS BEFORE BUT YOU ARE NOW COVERED IN CASE YOU NEED TO CLAIM IF YOU NEED TO FOR REPAIRS OF DAMAGE BY PERSONS UNKNOWN
THIS WILL MAY INCLUDE LEGAL REPRESENTATION AS STANDARD
THE LOWER THE INSURANCE GROUP THE CHEAPER THE INSURANCE
THE VALUE OF THE CAR
THE MORE IT'S WORTH THE MORE THE INSURANCE WILL COST
HOPE THIS HELPS A BIT |

I'd say the biggest factor is your age, the older ofcourse the less you pay. Then would be your record, how many tickets/accidents you've had. Then the car year and make. the newer the car is and the higher end the model is, the more you pay. Also whether you want it full coverage or liability is another big factor. |
