You would be responsible for ALL Damages and Injuries.
Which means, you could lose everything you own.
Call that little Gecko you see on TV every night, he will help.
-- didn't read who said you are stupid, but that is un-called for. just get the least insurance needed if it's a $$$ issue --

Not a useful plan ~ buying trouble.
Such situations ruin lives. |

as long as you get liability only(which is half the cost of full coverage)
nothing. if the accident is your fault and you din't have insurance. you could get into big trouble. suspended license, big fines. |

If the wreck is not your fault the least that will happen is that you will get a ticket, which will cost anything from $150 upwards. Also, you could be held partially liable in the accident, meaning you won't get fully reimbursed for the damages.
If it is your fault, you truly are screwed. You can count yourself lucky if there are no dead or injured people. Even then you will get a hefty fine, your license will get suspended and you will have to cover all damages out of pocket. That can add up to $10,000 or more in the blink of an eye.
If you injure or kill a person, you will never in your life financially recover. You will be paying judgments for a loooooonnnnnnng time, and potentially go to jail.
Don't do it- it's not worth it. Get your insurance like you are supposed to do. |

You will be sued and probably have your license suspended until you pay for the damages to the bank and possibly the other vehicle owner.
Makes the insurance sound pretty inexpensive, doesn't it? |

Is it illegal to drive without insurance where you live? If it is then don't get pulled over. But if you get in a wreck and it's the other person's fault, then their insurance pays for it. But you still get fined for not having insurance. If it's your fault and its a wreck with another car. Then you are SCREWED. They sue you and you have to pay out of pocket. Which can be very bad. If your in a wreck with a tree or other inanimate object, then you have to pay for repairs to your car, possible fines from the city for the whatever damage you did to their stuff. If you hit something on private property, you have to pay for there stuff as well.
Basically, get Insurance. |

The other person would sue you for everything you've got most likely and I think it's illegal to drive without insurance. I'm no expert though...lol |

Its illegal not to have insurance, if you get into a wreck then you would have to pay it out of your own money unless you declared bankruptcy |

It doesn't matter if you have a new or used car, you most likely are required to buy auto insurance where you live. If you don't have it, you're going to have to pay for everything out of pocket, and you will get sued if you don't have the money. |

you would be personally sued. In Massachusetts you can't register a car if you don't have insurance.
Edit: if you get stopped in a state that requires insurance you will be fined for driving without insurance. Yes even if the state you are registered in does not require it. Your car may even be impounded. Don't bother driving into Cananda with out insurance or the proof of it. (card specifically given to you for that particular trip to Canada) You will be arrested until you can contact your insurance company and they get your proof to you. |

You may have the misconception that insurance is mainly to pay for the cost of your car if you wreck it. Since you bought a cheap used car, why buy insurance if you are only going to get paid back $1000 minus the deductible?
The REAL reason that you need insurance is to protect yourself from damage that you cause to other cars (and people.) You might be driving around a "beater," but you will be in deep trouble (financially and otherwise) if you total some guys brand-new $80,000 Mercedes. If you don't have insurance, then YOU have to come up with the $80,000, plus the $100,000 for his hospital bills and lost pay. Plus, you will get fined for driving without insurance.
What you can do to minimize the cost, is to drop collision and comprehensive coverage (which protects your car from a wreck or theft.) You need to buy bodily injury and property damage liability, as well as uninsured motorists liability (in case YOU get put in the hospital by someone without insurance.) |

Ok, first of all, it depends on the state you live in. For example, I live in WI; we aren't required to carry insurance if there isn't a lien holder on the vehicle. In LA, you're required to have the minimum liability amounts of insurance to make a claim against anyone, if you're in an accident and not at fault. In MI, you have to at least have liability. Go in to an insurance agent's office and talk to them, they can tell you what's required in your state by law.
Now, if you get in an accident and you're not at fault, nothing will happen to you. If the other person has insurance, it'd fix the damages to your vehicle; if they don't, you're responsible for that out of pocket. If you get in a wreck and it IS your fault, you're liable for the damages to the other property, and also injuries if you caused them. This can be very pricey, so I'd recommend getting liability insurance AT THE LEAST to cover yourself in case that happens. |

just calm down then scream then kill someone |

Then you pay for all the damages you cause to anyone else, including medical costs, and you pay for all your own injuries, and you buy a new car.
No one will help you pay for all these - it could take 20 years of paycheck withdrawals, before you're done with it. |
