if u want to know about life insurance and its various types then here it is..
life insurance is of 3 types-
one is term insurance and the other is whole life insurance, and the 3 rd is endowment insurance..
in the first one a person eligible for insurance applies for insurance then after underwriting his case is okayed..
after that he makes monthly quarterly,yearly payments for his insurance plans..
in this plan he pays a small amount for his life under risk,and no amount after the period of insurance is payed to him.ie no maturity,no interest,no lum sum amount.it is a pure risk cover plan.
in the second one known as whole life plan one pays instalments in the same manner but is payed maturity amount say 10 years plan,15 years plan and so on max 30 years.and he is payed interest on the instalment amount payed every year according to the profit earned by the insurance cos.
all these money go to the govt for various development projects..
then there is endowment plan with mix of term insurance and whole life plan..
in this also there is maturity amount with insurance with tax beneift..
there is on more plan that have come up recently that is market link plan where a ..
this plan is very hot now a days..
becuause of interest rate and mutual fund type interest rate of 40-50% or more per annum..
that is why people r opting for this plan..
