Stay away from Primerica...overpriced not to mention a suspicious MLM business structure.
For the individual who has Prudential, they gave you shares of stock because they had to. Google "demutualization" for a better understanding of what happened. Prudential's demutualization caused all policy owners at that time to be granted shares of stock. Demutualization only happens once. You won't be getting any more shares. |

There are a number of good companies depending on what type of insurance you are looking for. Speak with an insurance professional to help you determine how much you need and what policy is best for you.
Good companies include Northwestern, Allstate, Prudential.
I would stay away from Primerica. Also independent agents because they tend to be more knowledgeable about property insurance.
Also, be very careful of online quoting services. |

Do you need lifetime coverage, or will a term policy take care of your needs.
Be careful of the "one trick ponies"...i.e. agents that only represent one company as one company does not work for all people. |

Personally I work for MassMutual. But I would recommend any of the following companies who I would consider the upper echelon of life insurance companies:
MassMutual, Northwestern Mutual, and NY Life.
As far as Primerica, it's okay to listen to what they say, but keep in mind that they are only taught that term is the one and only answer to life insurance. |
