They are pretty much the same except a warranty is usually in writ ting and a guarantee is not. I would say it is better to have a warranty, that way you have written proof of what the company promised when you bought the product.
Guarantee: an assurance of the quality of or of the length of use to be expected from a product offered for sale often with a promise of reimbursement.
Warranty: a usually written guarantee of the integrity of a product and of the maker's responsibility for the repair or replacement of defective parts

I have read all the other answers and they have NOTHING to do with insurance in Insurance a guarantee is issued by the 1st party of an insurance company the warranty is issued buy the insurance company but applies to the insured (you) if a warranty is breached it can Void the insurance contract
example the alarm warranty on your policy
if you alarm is broken you must report this to your insurance company buecause if there is a loss leats say a fire loss nothing to do with the burgler alarm it can still void your insurance |

Guarantee is no questions asked if there is a problem.
Warranty has specifics if there is a problem.
Example: My Aunt's mattress has sink holes in it when she called about the Warranty, they sent someone to come out and look at her mattress.. they said the sink holes weren't deep enough for them to do anything about per the wording in the warranty. If there was a guarantee, they would have given her customer satisfaction by refunding her money or making it right. |

A warrant is a promise, of a condition. A warrantee is a conditional promise. A Guarantee is another type of promise, with conditions.
Although a warrant can be part of an insurance policy (example, a promise from the insured that they will keep their alarm system operational, and if they don't, it voids coverage), neither warrantees nor guarantees are insurable. |
