That depends upon your situation, especially if you have pre-existing conditions. What's best for one person may not be best for another person and the company that's best for mom may not be best for the daughter. You should visit a local independent agent. This person works with many different companies and knows the market. They will be able to find the best plan for you and they won't charge you anything.
The area where you live will make a difference. A plan that's good in Phoenix and Tucson may not be good in Flagstaff because there may not be many doctors that take the plan in Flag. |

Well, the most affordable is Medicaid, if you qualify. The second most affordable is through an employer, who will pick up a chunk of the tab.
Otherwise, you need a private policy. If mom is 30 and healthy, it's going to cost $250 a month for her, and $200 a month for the daughter. The daughter MIGHT be eligible for your state Children's Health Insurance Program, depending on mom's income. |
