If you are looking for term, two websites pop out:
1) http://www.ameritasdirect.com/62.asp
2) http://www.insure.com (formerly quotesmith.com)
The forms for insure.com are long, and it will give you quotes from several term life insurance companies. It's basically a web-form doing the same thing your independent insurance agent would do if you didn't want advice, but just wanted a term policy. It takes into account your health and will advise you if it thinks you wouldn't qualify for a policy.
Ameritas direct has a very short form that asks for no personal info. To my knowledge, this is the only true "'no load" life insurance policy available on the net. Other companies will sell you life insurance direct, but will pocket the agents commission, so it doesn't save you money. Ameritas direct doesn't pay commissions, and that is reflected in the price.
I have found the cheapest of Insure.com and Ameritas tend to be pretty close in price.

The best life insurance for you depends on your own specific situation, your life insurance needs and your budget.
One life insurance site that offers good information, tips and articles is http://www.term-life-online.com
It provides answers to several common questions you may have before choosing the right life insurance policy for your situation.
It also provides options for different types of life insurance including term life insurance, mortgage life insurance and term life insurance with no exam required.
Make sure you understand why you need the life insurance. If you have people who depend on you for financial support, you may need life insurance.
If you have temporary needs - 10-30 years, for protection you may want to consider term life insurance because it may be the most affordable option.
Level term life insurance offers coverage for up to 30 years, your rates remain level and your coverage remains level for the entire term of your policy.
I hope that helps! Best of luck to you. |

This is very dependant on what type of insurance you require, different companies specialise in different areas. Composit companies such as Norwich Union, Legal & General, Friends Provident etc are long established and have reserve funds to ensure their policies are well covered, this reduces you're risk. If it is motor or household insurance you're after, cheapest is definately not the best !!. Again, use a reputable company, one that you have heard of, they have stood the test of time. |

The best one is the one you feel the most comfortable with that meets all your needs.
There is no such thing as best, if there was, there would only be a few companies. Dont go just by price, there are alot of other factors to consider. |

Okay...here is where I can help you. Primerica Life Insurance is the best company because we not only help you with insurance, we also help you with debts, mortgages, loans and in some states Car and Home insurance now as well.
The big thing to remember with life insurance is this simple rule: you don't need it for your whole life; only for a period of time when your assets and fmaily need to be protected in the event of your untimely death.
Most companies will tell you you need Whole LIfe; but Term is the best by far. AND the more words in front of the type of insurance, the more you are getting screwed over.
(i.e. Variable Universal Whole life)
Whole Life companies will tell you they are giving you insurance AND the investment, BUT if you read the fine print you will see you only get ONE or the OTHER, not both.
With Term, Primerica will charge you less, for better, and more insurance; and YOU put money away at the same time....then when you pass on your family gets BOTH.
Email me for more information; it's hard to explain it all here. |
