What is the best life insurance for a 77 year old man?

Usually at this age you can no longer get insurance because the actuary tables suggest that that person may not have many years left.

Check around however.

Start by asking why a 77 year old needs a life insurance policy at this point in time. If it is a new policy, it may be prohibitively expensive. If the man is trying to cover funeral expenses, it may be just as good to put money in a trust account for next of kin to cover the expenses.

If the man is widowed and kids grown, why spend the money - the kids are adults and should be able to continue on without the life insurance money.

The only real reason to get the policy would be if he is still married and wants to ensure his wife has a little something to live on. If that is the case, check around (though be prepared for expense).

At that age, you don't need life insurance. You better have savings. Why pay the life insurance company a huge amount when you can get interest from the bank? It's too late to buy life insurance at that age.

A guaranteed Universal life. if his wife is still alive, get a second to die policy its cheaper. but it wont be cheap to start with.

Usually life insurance is cost prohibitative for a man that age. You can check out einsurance.com too see how high the premiums would be to see what I'm talking about.

It would be better just to have a savings accounts at that age.

Regular visits to the doctor.

The best life insurance for a 77 year old person is Term life insurance.
It is the cheapest in the market and offers only pure insurance.

However for a person of the above age the cost per annum is very prohibitive that most people will look for other alternative ways to sort out the need they think the insurance would fulfill.
