This period varies from organisation to org. Can vary from 0-365 days. |

The probation period is determined by the employer. It's not dictated by any sort of laws or legal guidelines. Some are as short as 90 days and as long as a year. You should check with the employer to know for sure. |

Unless there is a state law that mandates a maximum waiting period (which may be the case in some states), the waiting period for benefits was defined by the company at the time the original group policy was created. It can only be changed by the policy administrator, or some designated company representative.
Because of that, it's impossible to answer your question. It all comes down to what your company has designated. If you want to know, you'll have to ask HR. |
