Well, the 200K is possible, but at entry level, honestly, next to non-existant.
The only places I can even imagine the possibility of you obtaining this kind of salary in the quickest time possible would be :
your own business - of course no guarantees, and rarely is there a quick pay off, but we're dealing in possibilities per your question, so it's "possible" in theory.
some sort of very, very specialized IT programming skill (think about the areas where big companies with extensive IT departments still have to bring in consultants) - extremely high demand, extremely complex, extremely limited options to obtain it - and even then, my assumption would be that although it may be very specialized, you will probably need an extensive broad background in IT, or extensive background in the field where it is used -otherwise the knowledge would likely be useless
sales - huge ticket luxury items, or b2b possibly - lol, again, unlikely, but possible
There are fields where you could expect to reach that level after a number of years and a lot of luck, but I would recommend you do some additional research on salaries in general because 200K as an entry level salary is not a realistic expectation for anyone whose Dad is not Donald Trump, or someone in a similar financial situation.
It could happen, maybe thru one of the possibilities I listed, but if you're planning, I'd encourage you to have a clear understanding and perspective of what you're asking for in the scheme of financial and business settings.

Leafs This Year
|
i would say, you would have to have a successful year in Real Estate.
if you sell houses for over 500,000, you would get 2.5% of each house. so if you work hard and sell many houses you should be there. |

The only job that I know that starts out paying $200k per year for entry level is big lawfirms. I think that they are starting out at $180k, plus bonuses right now. The bonuses may take first year associates over the $200k. But, be advised, that probably less than 3% of law grads get these positions. You have to either graduate from a top 4 law school or be one of the top few grads in your class to get these jobs.
I am sure that some doctors get this kind of money after completing lengthy fellowships.
Otherwise, unless it is a lateral transfer, or a high level corporate executive position, all of which require major experience, there are not too many of these positions available. |

Guys,
Getting 200k is quite a feet as you rightly said. An MBA could easily sail through and get hired. Experience of atleast 5-10 years would be an advantage. Leading a team, event, organization is quite helpful. Most importantly your will to go that extra mile and get to know people and help them forge unity in achieving our goals is paramount. Though I am in top 5% earners in USA I admit that it all starts within your mind and start believing it; you can be making it pretty fast dude. It really doesn't matter what your academic credentials are. I can outperform a seasoned CEO if I got a chance. All the best. God Bless.

It depends on which part of the field, because some doctors start out at $130k, and some start out at 500k. But, for the most part, I guess you are looking for the possibility, because alot of jobs do not start out at 200k. Even PHD's do not start out at 200k. So, I dontknow why you would be asking for 200k when its not really possible. You have to have some sort of skill to be able to start out 200k. The only other position that I could think of that might start out at 200k is a CPA. |
