nat | What to do when my insurance company declin my dependent claim because i failed to list her on my insurance? |

All policies have provisions which spell out policy requirements. If your child is a newborn, it should have provisions that tell you how long you have to report her as a dependent.
The company should send you a letter outlining the specifics of the declination. Contact your insurance commissioner, usually in your state capitol, if you disagree with their decision or their reasons. |

If the policy requires your dependents to by listed, and you failed to list your dependents, you are out of luck. |

It depends...I work for an insurance company, and when a new applicant comes in we run their address and household info and it will bring up ALL drivers. The applicant has to tell us who ISN'T in the household.
Also, I do not see how they could completely deny your claim. You have the right to give permission to another person to drive your vehicle. If you GIVE them permission, they should be covered. Now, if you plan on this person driving your vehicle with any regularity, your ins company needs to know. But, like I said, if I wanted to, I could drive down the street tomorrow and ask a homeless guy to take my car to the store for milk, if I give him permission, and he wrecks, he and the vehicle are covered (as long as he is licensed.)
The only problem with this whole situation is whether or not your insurance company believes you INTENTIONALLY did not report this driver as being in your household. |

Depends on what type of insurance and the agreement. If it is medical insurance at work ans you can only enroll once a year, then no they will not cover your dependent if you did not list them during the enrollment period. Check your insurance paperwork though, therer are a few loopholes for major life changes, like a new baby, marriage, or divorce. |

Add your dependent right now, so it doesn't happen again. |
