I got injuried in april of last year. my landlord finally forward my letter i sent him last week over to his insurance company. I had lawyers before but they wasnt doing a great job. but once my landlord seen there wasnt any lawyers he turn it over. The insurance adjuster just called me 5minutes ago. but i was on my way out so i didnt pick up. What do i say? I never done this before. I need help/advice. Additional Details He didnt fix the porch when he was obligated to do and had the duty to fix it. And i injuried my wrist and left me permanent nerve damage. and my hand/wrist can later on be deformed because the muscles are not working good. and are going to be wasted.
Getting a lawyer is not practical for the timebeing and I suggest that you engage a claim recovery agent to assist you on a no cure no pay basis.

If you have an attorney you should not talk to the adj. Refer adj to your atty.

With the additional info you posted, it sounds like your landlord could bare some liability. I would get a lawyer even though it's going to cost you. Otherwise, you might end up getting screwed by the insurance company.

Hire a personal injury attorney. Now that the landlord has turned the claim over to the insurance company, the ball is in your court, so to speak. You can handle this anyway that you like.

You need to give us more info. There's no way to tell what happened or how you were injured. Why are you avoiding your adjuster anyhow??
