Yep, you'll have to get THAT quote from a local, independent agent, too. It depends on your credit score, the location of the home (hope you're not in FL), the cost to rebuild the home, the age of the home, the fire protection class, the type of house construction, etc. There are a LOT of variables. It can go anywhere from $250 for a $100,000 brand new home in a Pittsburgh suburb, to $8,000 for a $200,000 home in tampa, and I've never insured a movie star's house in Hollywood, but I bet that's pretty pricey, too. |
