basically they will keep asking for the money, just try to pay something on it for good faith, it will be ok, dont worry you and your baby too much. you will want to pay eventually though so nothing goes to collection, but if you do something monthly, you will stay in good with the dr.

talk to them some places actually work with you. they will probably send it to a bill collector and you will get those annoying phone calls and they can refuse service but like i said sometimes they have programs that's will help you pay it or cut down the payment.

It's like any other bill----the providers would have submitted their bills to the insurance company and the insurance would've said--member has deductible, you can bill for x dollars.
So basically now you have a bill (or bills) for $1500 with doctors. They'll probably send you to collections at some point. I would just call them an explain and see if they'll cut you a break.
