Depending on where you live, liability only, minimum limits will probably run you around $3,000 a year. |

The only way you would get a real answer is getting a quote. Call your insurance company ans ask for comparison rates. I know that as long as your son has only a permit Progressive would not rate him ( = no premium), but if he is a regular rated driver then; that is another story. |

There are too many factors to guess. Go to http://www.InsuranceEasy.org and request quotes from several of the free on-line quoting services that they provide links to. This is the only way to know for sure, plus it really easy requesting quotes.
It's better to know for sure now then be surprised later after you already bought the car. |
