When u get cigarette promo items/coupons at a bar and they scan your ID does it get back to your insurance?
I was out at a bar and got a free lighter and they scanned my license... will this ever get back to my insurance co. or my employer?
no but even if it did you could just say that you wanted the free promo lighter - people use lighters for other things - tell them you like candles.....although it won't get back to your company.

no honey all that does is provided the company your mailing address so they can send you things in the mail

No, but they can use your smoking status to deny any claims later for lying or misrepresentation on the insurance application documents. By lying you are voiding your protections. Why pay for the policy at all if you are going to lie?

would they have the time to report something like that? it would take a lot of time and money and for what? who would care? you got a free lighter and maybe some cigarettes. Whats to say you were not buying them for a friend? why would they waste time on that?
